Xiaomi officially launched its next-generation personal smart device - Xiaomi AI Glasses, which has attracted widespread attention due to its innovative payment function. Qualcomm has officially announced its all-new Snapdragon AR1+ Gen processor, designed to provide stronger support for smart glasses. Although the new processor only shows a slight performance improvement compared to the previous Snapdragon AR1 Gen1 chip, its biggest highlight is the direct support for device-side artificial intelligence. This means users can enjoy convenient AI services simply by wearing smart glasses without relying on smartphones or the cloud. The Snapdragon AR1+ Gen 1 has a smaller size, with an area reduced by 28%.

Meta recently disclosed comprehensive technical details of the hardware for its Aria Gen2 research glasses, providing the most detailed technical analysis since its release in February this year. Compared to the initial product released in 2020, Aria Gen2 has achieved a comprehensive technological leap. The hardware design has been fully upgraded, with the new glasses weighing between 74-76 grams and offering eight different frame designs to accommodate various face shapes. The foldable temples enhance portability, while the 6-8 hour battery life meets daily usage requirements.

According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple's smart glasses project, codenamed N50, remains in early development and is far from ready. While Apple has a strong track record of creating small, innovative devices, its smart glasses development appears to be progressing slowly. Gurman writes that the N50 glasses aim to leverage "Apple Intelligence" capabilities, analyzing the surroundings and feeding information back to the wearer, but the glasses will not provide a full augmented reality (AR) experience.

Meta recently announced the global rollout of real-time translation for its Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. Previously, this feature was limited to early testing users in select markets. This full launch allows users to enjoy more convenient language conversion across various scenarios, especially the ability to overcome language barriers offline. According to Meta, the real-time translation feature on Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses now covers global sales markets and supports English, French, and Italian (among other languages).
